Organization of Pittsburgh (IOP) was established in May 1998 as a non-profit
Islamic religious organization with the primary objective serving the Shia
Muslim community in Western Pennsylvania, to
promote the teachings of Holy Qur’an as elaborated by our Holy Prophet Mohammad
(PBUH) and his Ahlul-Bayt (A.S.) and preserving the authentic values of Islam.
Imamia Organization of Pittsburgh draws its strength and
guidance from the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah
of Prophet Muhammad and Ahlul-Bayt, may peace and blessings of
Allah be bestowed upon them.
With Allah's
blessings, IOP acquired the property at 751 Unity Center Road ,
Pittsburgh PA
15239 in
the Plum Boro, Zainabia Islamic Center (ZIC). It is about three miles from the
Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76), and Parkway East (I-376). IOP would sincerely
like to thank all those who have generously donated their money and time for
the establishment of the Islamic Center. Above all we are grateful to Allah and
His Divine Support.
